scored some decent pallets a while ago, and decided to put them to use. First of all I cleared an area and moved a bunnch of clay...packed it and then set the floor.

Using recycled lumber (2x4 and 2x2's), I built the walls.

I had some osb left over from my garage project, so it got used:

Cool. So how ya gonna keep the spiders out??

Sniper-T
08-21-2013, 12:03 AM
spiders spin webs
webs catch mosquitos
I hate mosquitos
therefore, spiders are welcome.

out of all the spiders we have around here, only 2 are poisonous, and only moderately so, I have no worries about spiders.

That will work better then that pile you've got goin there.

Nice job Sniper.

That pile is just scrap wood for the firepit. but I've always had my indoor wood piled outdoors too, and I hate dealing with frozen ice covered tarps all winter. This will make me happy!

Tx Mega... it's been too long in coming!

Looks like a nice size man cave for when the misses gets cranky. All you need are 4 things

Recliner
fridge (for beer)
T.V.
heater (for winter) or ceiling fan (for summer)

Nice job on recycling.

They have spray to keep Mosquitos away
Spiders bite even if not poisonous, spiders are scary, spiders have big nasty fangs, spiders are evil, spiders seek ya out to suck all your fluids til there is nothing left of you. I hate spiders. Spiders terrify me. Only good spider is a dead one, but someone else has to kill it because I'll be running in the opposite direction screaming like the little girl I am!

The same spray will work for spiders, but I know how you feel... damn cats...

I know...pretty easy to do when you aren't within arms reach huh? At least I know my kitty is safe far, far away from ya! Even though BWRR says she is evil, she's a sweetheart.

Don't worry Ldyhk, I will enroll Harry at the same school. Together as a team with Brother (already trained as a19th level ninja, with multiple weapons) they will be UNSTOPPABLE!

How much do you have loaded so far?
Looks like a good start.

Sniper-T
10-30-2013, 02:09 AM
there is 1-1/2 corsd of pine slabs; 1-1/2 cords of seasoned poplar, and 1/2 cord of 1/2 seasoned birch. much more to follow...

bacpacker
10-30-2013, 02:30 AM
Do you burn a lot of pine? Have much trouble with Creosote build up from it?

I don't burn much in the house, just outside. I like burning popular. I like making stuff with it even better.

Sniper-T
10-30-2013, 02:48 AM
This is all for inside burning. I mix it up between pine/birch and poplar. They all have their attributes and their issues. I find that with a decent mix you get the heat, the longevity, and the cleaning. to burn only one is always lacking! IMO.
