I have seen these saws before, but have never had the chance to use one or even held it to check it out. Has anyone else given this style before. I have tried the small rope saws before and they aren't worth a crap from what I saw. This one looks better.

A friend of mine has it an raves about it. He actually demonstrated it last weekend for me and it made short work of a limb with very little effort. Needless to say I was impressed. This saw is definitely on my wishlist.

oddly enough a buddy has one and is NOT impressed with it. he was hunting down a backroad, and by the time he came out a tree had blown down on the road. He said he farted around with that until he couldn't breathe anymore, and then just tied onto the tree with his truck and dragged it off the road.

The tree was about a 7" jackpine.

I'm skeptical, but even half assed, it might still be better than nothing... or for small stuff.
