Minus what we ate already, and the dill pickles that are in another pile. This is how I have been keeping busy this fall. And I still have carrots and beets to can.

And... I have another batch of salsa on the go right now, and another batch of tomatoes almost ripe.

We put up a bunch more chicken. I think I killed about 50 of them recently and we canned all but 5 of those.

i'm just finishing 'garden'... god willing i'll have a bunch of meat/fish/poultry to put up yet too.

I don't can lot of other meat. I did some hamburger, but did not care for the taste. Got some canned hog, and deer, need to try it.

I typicaly freeze all my meat (so to speak). I am going to try canning a little of whatever I get, just to try it.

Yeah, me too. Except for poultry. Poultry taste great canned. Just can a small amount of meats to see how you like them after they are canned. The hamburger meat I do not like at all. Going to try it in a spaghetti one day to see if it is good that way.

I assume you mean spag sauce with meat... and I have been doing that for years with AWESOME results! same as chili!

Well I have about 10 jars of canned hamburger meat and I have not liked it yet. So next I am going to use it in my next spaghetti. Hope I like it that way, or the dogs might get a treat.
