So here's a cool little product from Maxpedition, the Volta Battery case.

Part 1 is a nice molle pouch that holds the battery insert or can be used in a number of other purposes such as for a cellphone, shotgun shells, etc.

Part 2: is a cool plastic case for batteries. They fit CR123s, AA, AAA and I'm willing to bet you could fit in those round style batteries used on the CompM2/M68/Pro series Aimpoints.

Part 3: Is that the cases actually separate into two sections. So you could use one section for fresh cells, and keep the other side empty and put the used/spent cells there. If you are out in the woods and don't want to trash the joint, or you don't want anybody to know you where there, this is a good way to stay clean while making sure you know which are used/not used. Since I have no mission requirement to stay sterile, I chose to fill both sides with batteries and will dispose of the dead ones in highly tactical trashcans.

The pouches include a molle backer so you can attach to any number of chest rigs or packs.

When you consider the PVS14, Surefire light, OTAL, ear pro, IR helmet light, Aimpoint T1s, secondary lights, pistol lights, etc there's A LOT of battery needs. This is a cool way to organize them a little further.

ETA: Am already thinking of replacing a AA battery with a CR123 to give me 3 total.

So instead of attaching the pouch to my plate carrier (LMAC), I slid the battery case down inside an admin pouch attached to the right hand side armor pocket.

As you can see it doesn't take up much space, isn't all that heavy and gives me an onboard battery selection so my gear doesn't shit the bed at an inopportune time (or rather, when it does shit the bed I have something on hand with which to fix the problem).

I like that case, I think battery junction carries the case only if someone needs multiples and doesn't wanna buy the pouch.

I think the actual battery holders are useful - the nylon pouch, not so much. Why bother with the weight?
