Chinese state-run media revealed for the first time this week that Beijing’s nuclear submarines can attack American cities as a means to counterbalance U.S. nuclear deterrence in the Pacific.
On Monday, leading media outlets including China Central TV, the People’s Daily, the Global Times, the PLA Daily, the China Youth Daily and the Guangmin Daily ran identical, top-headlined reports about the “awesomeness” of the People's Liberation Army navy’s strategic submarine force.

Yeah they are not stupid. First our retaliation would demolish them, second they would never see a penny of the money we owe them, third their economy would collapse when we stopped buying their goods. We have nothing to worry about with China.

I think we missed the boat on truly making friends with China, who doesn't want a billion ruthless people on their side instead of the other guy's side? Of course, china is nobody's friend, but strategic alliances tend to go that way anyhow.
