I picked up this new site (to me) a couple days back while browsing around. It has all kinds of map tools for various size topo maps and other goodies. They also have a section that you can build your own topo maps, with either a map, sattelite view, or a mix. You can chosse the map center and it builds out from there.

I buy my map protractors from maptools, good stuff, good service.
I use NatGeo software to print topo maps, I think 1:10K, laminate them and use the protractor right with the map... UTM of course (since efficient use of Lat/Lon requires a college degree, and UTM is akin to MGRS, which is easy as lard is greasy).
Anywho, another thumbs up for maptools site!

If you can tell time you can use lat/long

Easier, if you can count 1 to 10, you can do UTM. touché! :-)

Fidel, I went thru that thread closely. I went back and checked all the links in it and had bookmarked everyone of them. Except for the maptools.com site.
