I'm not a zombie guy...at least I wasn't until stumbling on this blog called the apocalypse blog. It is a few years old (2008), but after reading it it piqued my interest in the genre and directly led me to becoming enamoured with the walking dead.
It's not a typical 'story', but written as a series of diary entries after shtf. I have to say that even having the 'story' written from a female perspective didn't throw me off (I know, I know... Gender shouldn't matter... I'm still a little archaic in some of my thinking)
I enjoyed the take on the zombies as well as the other twists (I won't explain so as to not spoil anything).
If any of you have a few extra hours to spare from time to time I highly recommend this tale... IMO it is really well done
