So one of the generators I purchased a couple of years ago just showed up on my alerts as going on sale at 50% off. Ive used this generator to power my house when our power went down during a ice storm last year and had no issues with basic power for the house. It managed to power up my fridge, lights, and internet, plus its pretty darn quiet! So it cost me back in the day about $600 delivered to my front door, and its now currently $299. Best of all, with the guys I bought it from, shipping was and still is FREE! So, if you are in the market for a good economical generator, this is one I would recommend!

Hope anyone in the colony, if needing one, can use this info!

I am wondering if this unit would last for 2 - 3 months of almost constant use. It would be nice to have something with about 500 more watts continuous, but I think it would work fine in an emergency.

Socal, you should be good, I run a 3500 for 3 daze non stop, and frequently there abouts... It ran my fridge, lights, tv and a portable AC unit for 3 daze non stop after we lost power from a super storm... It was expensive in gas, but I had juice and AC during 110deg day and night!!

I would be willing to bet most motors are the same, just in a different package. I have had a Champion 3500 for years. I vouch for them.

not knowing what brand motor is involved is a big turn off .... you aren't getting parts from the generator source ... it's the first thing I do is put together a repair/maintenance kit ....
