Been wstchin the national Weather last day or two. Looks like temps in the upper midwest next several days. I saw some highs in the 50s. They didnt show any lows. Stormy, Swamprat, Sniper, Caveman, Tunnelrat, I know you all live in that area and at least some of you are gardening. Are any of you expecting frost or freezes out of this? Any plans to try and combat the weather?
Good luck!

With highs of 50 I would expect possible frost in wisconsin. We've had snow flurries in august.

We are expecting highs of upper 70s to low 80s for highs mid week. Lows in the 50s. Twice in the last 2 weeks. For July down here, I love it.

Got up this morning and it was 46 degrees F.
Supposed to start warming up this week.
Gardens are doing ok so far, but kinda dicey.
The amount of rain we have been having is disheartening. We need some sun!

Love to BP.

Here's a couple articles about what we're dealing with...

hail is a real problem when something like this occurs ....

Yep we've had hail four times in the last 3 weeks. whenever it warms up enough to dry things out a little, we get a crazy boomer.

Was 68 degrees this morning on my front porch around 8am. It is still too damn humid here though. Livestock are suffering from it. We need some dry air.

Oh man, I hope we don't frost. I don't personally recall it ever happening this time of year, but I've never had a garden to concern myself over it either...

Its been an odd year here though. That's for sure

Was below 60 when I got up this morning. Feels like early fall out here.

Average at night has been around lower 50's although day temps in the 70's seem to keep any long term damage from accruing in the crops.

Have seen slight wilting in the vegetation and possibly a stunt occurring in fruit bearing. However crops should still do well.

You must be in a different part of Arkansas than where I am. We haven't gotten cool enough to slow our garden down. Not that it matters, the dang grasshoppers are eating it regardless of what I use to try to kill them off.

BOY OH BOY!!!!! Didn't you go and pick the really ripe fruit.
Now I love these youngin's to death mind you. BUT!! ; You gotta watch them. If your not ready for the this isn't normal type of life you had better get out now. These two are really good at what they do and it's a ( Katy bar the door outlook for them )

That being said. You could not have picked a better set of twins. Though they may lead you astray ; They'll keep you on the straight and narrow while thinking outside the box. May the Thunder Gods have mercy upon anyone who crosses them.

Bye ; Headed for my bunker before they read this. :p
