I just found a local store that stocks alligator meat!! I haven't had it since the last time I was way down outh ad loved it then.

What are some of your favourite ways to cook it?
Seasonings?
Recipes?

Deep fried for sure. Make a dipping sauce out of horseradish and orange marmalade. Sounds horrible but mixed together in right amounts it is wonderful.

It can be cooked like any other meat. A good sauce piquante, jambalaya, fried like the others have said. My favorite is a alligator sauce piquante though.

Ahhhhh, the days when ya could still go out and get ya a gator for dinner without a permit from a lottery that costs hundreds of dollars are so missed. Fl in the 60's and 70's was so nice.

Just remember that all parts are edible, not just the damn tail. Fried, butter, garlic, salt, pepper, meat.....what more is there to say. Big fat chunks! sliced in steaks, slap it on the plate, what? Best fresh water Lizard ya ever ate......mmmmmmm!

Wrap it in bacon, you can't go wrong.
