May need a refresher primer as to Queens pawn two to wherever. haven't thought that since the old days of the bulliten boards.

The OnLine chess interest me more... It would take a lot longer to play a game, but whats the hurry...

I love the game... However, by a skilled player I am easily beat.

I do not memorize opening moves, special tactics, etc...

I play each move based on what I anticipate the other's next two moves might be... thats as deep and complicated as I get.

Even if I am simple, I enjoy the game for it's experience.

35 years sgo i played my ex bil several games most every weekend. After a year of that we got better. Since i really have no one to play any llonger, I'm sure i suck badly now. Still looking forward to it.

I just went to chess.com and registered. We'll NE to share user names after that. If I understood it right, just send an invite to someone else and set up a game. I think you can play live or it'll send Email notice that it's your move.

If somebody signs up let me know and we can give it a try.

So far the chess.com thing seems to be going good. I've been playing Stormy and Jamesneuen. Izzy just challenged me this afternoon.

Games seem to be going ok. Not hard to follow at all. I loaded it on my phone today and made a few moves. Works peetty well. Looks like you can also do live chess. Just sign in and go find someone live to play. Or you can just play friends, or the computer. I like it ok.

Funny thing, and damn challenging, i have games going with Jamesneuen (our third), Stormy, and Izzy. I find myself thinking of a different game than the one I'm playing. Sure makes you think.

You can have one game analyzed a week on the chess.com site. I just picked one to see where my weakness was. It has given me some insight on what I need to work on.

Well that is enlightening. If you block all paths of the opposing king and that is the only piece left. It ends the game as a draw..

I will give you one of my edges in the game of chess. It is starting to come back to me. The majority of players covet their Queen to much. Learn how to play without your Queen.

Im with you on that one, I have no issues sacrificing a Queen to win the game, but most folks dont think that way. Im having a blast playing with all of you!

Me and son are usually dueling against each other, feel free to jump on him....He has advanced tremendously since we started the online games.....I usually play three strategies in a single game to keep him thinking about the end game....He is getting wise to my tactics .

After careful consideration, and letting Mr. Vodin think he had me, I allowed him to beat me. NOT...well not the beating me, he did. Thank you for the game. Now I'm a solid three in a row. A solid run no one can touch. I'm unbeatable, well I'm beatable in chess, but unbeatable in loosing at chess.

Thank you to everyone that continues to play when they can. I enjoy and learn from every game on there. I have picked up a few games with non-members just to keep myself occupied during down time but will gladly accept any and all challenges under any circumstances.

Backpacker, I don't think i have truly beaten you on a game yet through honest checkmate because of how tedious the endgame gets, though we have had a few good stalemates!

VodinS, you consistently kick my ass but I learn from every mistake and still love every game.

Stormfeather, You got me on the last one and I really feel challenged each time I play you and you never get caught in the same bit twice.

I like the 3 day feature, although sometimes I make a mistake because I forget my play and move too fast...Then remember after I move..
