Mine is the yellow one. I don't have the engine cowl on in this pic.

I love radial engines, they look so gorgeous. always been a wonder to me why cars never seemed to pick up on the concept.

They also seem so much simpler in design and function.

They leak like crazy. Lots of issues with fluid building up in the bottom jugs.

hmmm, what about a horizontal configuration? easier for self lubrication too. (no pun intended)

You can get much more power from other configurations. The radials are only good because they are light, but they don't last as long a conventional engine.

Those things could give the term 'skeet' a whole new meaning...

Look awesome! love the detail.

Could that radial be rotated every once in a while, so balance wear?

I guess it could be rotated, but you still have the bottom cylinder filling with oil issues.

This is from today.

This one is brand new made its first flight right after this pic.

I've been watching the jet videos on YouTube, I've always liked rc planes, but I just can't justify the cash.

Don't have to spend a lot anymore. You can get a ready to fly electric for under 400.

I looked at this last night. Had a neighbor that built these when I was a kid, early 70's. Balsa wood and monocot. I thought they were soooo cool. They've come a long way, would make some handy little assets. Too fast to get shot down, make great recon and maybe a drop a payload or two.

Just bought this little guy to fly inside the hanger.
