I was just in the word association thread and the word was BACON.
It is the perfect food. You can put it on/in anything.
Ive had Chocolate covered bacon, Bacon Jerkey, Fried Bacon, Baked Bacon, Centercut bacon, Bacon Ice Cream, Bacon Lip Balm, Bacon Tooth Paste, Bacon bits, Turkey Bacon in an emergency and a bunch of other ways.

What is your favorite way to have BACON?

Thick cut, double smoked and wrapped around another type of meat.

Ditto, Bacon makes everything better. I love it, even people on low fat diets eat bacon, I would imagine it would even make veggie burgers more palatable.

Any way is good. But for me just a crispy slice of smoked thick cut will do just fine.

There'd be peace in the Mideast if the Jews and Muslims could just sit down and share a few BLTs together.

I miss honest to god bacon. My wife demands I go with her health kick and eat only turkey bacon. I dunno why they don't just call it fried turkey slices.

lol I wish. Spring is here so I got a SMALL shamrock shake a week ago. Still haven't heard the end of it.

I wish I could stage a Bacon-intervention but I doubt it would help.

I miss the old time hicory smoked bacon with the hard edge that you could gnaw on for hours.
Oh yeah, I'm also a big fan of pig skins (pork rinds, chicharones or whatever you want to call them) even the microwaveable ones.
Mandatory Franks Red Hot sauce should be used too.

I loved pork rinds but what was even better was "cracklins". Anybody else grow up with those? They were the little rock hard bits left over when pork rinds were made from scratch. Dear god they were amazing. Though I'm not kidding when I say they were rock hard. I lost 2 teeth to them when I was younger. (baby teeth thankfully)

My colon and I have always had a disagreement when it comes to pork fat, all animal fat, but pork fat the most. For years while I was among the working class, I always had to watch what I ate, and keep in mind where the nearest mens room was. IBS was a major factor in my life, triggered by such things as animal fats, but also stress was a big one. When I divorced she who shall not be mentioned, my stress level went way down, the IBS drastically decreased. I still eat a lot of turkey bacon, but on those mornings when I go out to eat, its bacon city baby, bring it on.

You know you go to those greasy hamburger places and you know you should not do it but you get one and then the heartburn starts shortly after. Whats up with bacon I don't get heartburn!!! Love the stuff.

Just finished a bacon, mushroom and cheese omelet...................nice....

... When I divorced she who shall not be mentioned, my stress level went way down, the IBS drastically decreased.

Me too. Doc asked me what I was doing different and told me to keep it up. I told him that it must be divorced life that's treating me so well.

Best of all (while she's the one who left), I managed to trade in the fanatic vegan for a seafood eating "vegetarian" that also loves to cook with bacon grease.

I've cut out most ingestion of dairy (milk fat) and fried foods. When I keep on track, the IBS is much, much better. A little bacon grease, in moderation, to make the cast iron skillet or Dutch oven non-stick doesn't seem to bother me.

Mmm... BLT on the brain. Yum!!! Had a turkey club for lunch.

A Vegan for a Vegetarian........who likes seafood............who cooks with bacon grease.............uh don't tell her but I don't think she is a vegetarian......Glad the doctor approves of .............was it the divorce or the diet???

Shhhh, that's our secret. Wouldn't want her changing.

I've made some attempts to eat healthier (I eat out a lot for work) but a lot (most) of it is due to less stress and more fun!

Pigs in a blanket
BLT
Plate full of bacon
Eggs and bacon
Beans/Winnies/Onions/Ketchup/Brown Sugar/Bacon

I also heard rumor that bacon wrapped bacon is pretty good.

I must admit I don't eat it too often, but the best is when you fry up the bacon, then dip them in pancake batter and deep fry them. A plate full of baconcakes covered in syrup, and your good to go for the day!

Well, the other weekend, got up Sunday, just daughter and me, wife had to work. She cooked up for us just over a half dozen eggs, and 1 1/2 lbs of thick cut, hickory smoked bacon, and we split it between the two of us.

So, does that answer the question?

On a side note.......LadyHK and I did a comparison between the two (Regular bacon and Turkey) and found that the Turkey wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. So next time you're in the store take the time to compare the two labels of the "same brand" and see what they say. I think you'll be surprised.............then we'll welcome you BOTH back to the smoke house.

ONE THING THAT PISSES ME OFF THOUGH....... restaurants! Ordering a bacon cheeseburger and they put TWO slices of bacon on it CRISSCROSSED! You don't crisscross bacon on a sandwich or a burger YOU STACK IT! THEY ALWAYS USE THAT DINKY LAME ASS BABY BACK BACON TOO! You got to find you one of them good greasy spoons that knows how to slap bacon in a sandwich, how to put the "B" in a BLT. Someone that truly knows how to build a cholesterol monument, SKIP'S! I'll have to take a snapshot next visit! The bacon double cheeseburger, medium, don't squish it, fries extra crispy, ahhh, that boys is a work of art.

Around Sault Sainte Marie, MI there is a place called the moose. They have the moose burger which is 1/2lb beef, 1/2lb bacon, 1/2lb roast beef and smothered in cheese. 1lb fries on the side. The mini-moose is half that. God I miss that place.

There's a famous grocery store that had a lunch counter that eventually turned into a burger joint because nobody cared about the groceries after they became popular. When I was a little kid, my dad would take me to eat there. There were 2 LARGE black ladies that cooked all of the food, and my dad, a fatboy from way back told me once when we were there, "son, when you want good food, always make sure it's cooked by a person who knows what it should taste like, if it's a chocolate shake, make sure it's a person who looks like they've had a few too many shakes, when it's a burger, make sure it's a fat person". I've always tried to live by that rule.
