bwahahaha...

Actually, I am going in for Shoulder Surgery tomorrow, hopefully to tighten it up, and scrape out all of the broken pieces that are rattling around inside. Basically to improve my quality of life.

Cross your fingers and toes for success!

I have no doubt that they'll tighten you shoulder up . Crossing fingers & toes anyway.
My problem is ; do they have a knife sharp enough to cut through your Grizzly hide ?
I'm thinking I can send my Cuz whose talons can surely cut through your hide. :p Just sayin' brother I want to make sure that you're sliced and diced properly. ;)

No problem, take three days off try to act like you used to be and go rake the yard. Do push ups, swim laps. you'll be GTG in no time. Oh, you can do Pain pills for those three days if you like. You'll be fine brother, I've had 5 on the left and 2 on the right.......needs of the Navy. They've gotten much better over the years! The surgeons.........if you wake up and see me, you're in trouble

Best of luck Sniper. Hope the surgery gets you back to normal. Dealing with crap like that will wear on you. Let us know how you are doing when ever you feel like getting back on.
Prayers going up for a speedy recovery.

Sounds like a win/win situation to me. Better shoulder, and all the TLC you can get from the missus. Be sure to moan and cry a lot when you get home, the ladies seem to love taking care of their man when he is hurting. You should be able to milk this for at least 6-8 months. Call me if you need any pointers. After just a simple neck surgery, heck...my old lady let me stay at home for the rest of my life. Good times ahead my friend...good times ahead.

Ya know there are plenty of us here with sharp objects who could have done the job, you didn't need to see a doctor......... Sounds like me cleaning out the garage.......it takes a while to get around to it but when done it is far better. Good luck. Remember whiskey makes the world better.

I will concur with the whiskey statement. When my pain gets too bad I sit down with a bottle till one or the other disappears. Lol

EB, my wife has had one and totally concurs with your outlook on them. Said her broken neck and subsequent surgeries didn't hurt as much. She just got her second Rotator surgery scheduled this afternoon. She's not looking forward to it at all.

Glad to hear it went well big guy. Try not to get impatient with recovery. That's my biggest problem and I regret it every time.

Glad to know you are doing well, and remember, milk it as long as possible. Those bed baths can be quite enjoyable.

Better being under the knife than under the dirt. Rest, recover and don't repeat! Get well...

got one more week reprieve yet. I just continue with the stretches for another week, and then see the surgeon again next week. I am sure nurse ratchet will follow quickly behind!

Glad your getting along ok.

how's she doing? Her dominant hand as well?

I did that last time, and re-tore my tendon on day 4. Which resulted in the next 8 years of limited use, pain and discomfort.

She had her dominate shoulder done 3 years ago. Recovery was long but successful. This time it's the other one. Coming up in a couple weeks, just got date and time today.

You went thru crap for a long time bud. Hope it heals right this time. You'll end up like a new man.

I'm hoping BP, but actually hoping for the old man!

As in the old me before the injury, back when I was invincible, and crazy active.

Hope for it but make sure not to push too hard. I really am trying to come to terms with my limitations. It is a very slow and humbling process. Thankfully I can use the kids as an excuse to get out of tough spots.

Hope you're doing better. I had to have the tendons on the replacement knee redone in September. I can go up and down stairs finally. Now DH has to have one scoped and the other partially replaced it SUCKS getting old!!
