Do any of you know if the still make the small garden tractors that you walk behind and can change implements? I want one that can mow very rough terrain, and till ground. Other implements are a plus. Kind of like this, but newer.

Haven't seen one of those in a long time, BUT... Look and see if that new Troybilt FLEX modular system might work. I know they have power washers, mower decks, shredders and other stuff that mate up to the chassis which is basically a big motor on wheels with a PTO.

Check out the BCS line. Been around a long time and used to get good reviews.

I do know TroyBilt sold out to Murray. They aren't close to what they used to be. That said I haven't heard of the Flex system.

have you gave thought of picking up an old David Bradley or Gravely - not all of them are shined up and in someone's collection ...

I don't know about your TX area - but the DBs were manufactured in Kankakee and there's still a ton of them floating around the area .... saw one this winter moving some snow ....

My stepdad has 2 older troys, a 5hp and an 8bp. Other than oil changes and replacing worn out tines, I don't think he has ever put a wrench on either one. Both are late 80s early 90s models. I keep a look out for an older 8hp for myself.

Back in the day BCS was top shelf gear. I can't tell you anything about them today. But I'm sure there are reviews out there, probably YouTube video as well.

BCS is a beast but they are expensive. You have the base unit which contains the engine and then you add attachments. They have a good rep. It may be cheaper to just buy a tractor.

I already have a 50 hp 4X4 kubota hydrostatic with front end loader and a bunch of attachments, but it can't go a lot of places I need to.

Well that would work......sort of......I'm not so sure it will cut grass however you can sure scoop it and move it to the neighbor's yard and who would argue with a mad man behind the wheel of that beast.......

Unimogs are cool, but same problem as my tractor. It won't go where I need it to.
