Nice score. I wish mine would ripen closer together. If I used a scoop I'd either be picking a lot of unripe or would loose the first runs to ripen. The only thing I don't like about blueberries is the time it takes to pick them.
The wife has been making jam with some of ours.

yeah they're wild. the 'patch' is about 15 miles by 30 miles. Kinda puts my 20 plants to shame too. lol

Turned out really great. My wife was hesitant when I mentioned I wanted to do it, but when I gave her tasters just before filling jars she said "wow"

It really tastes awesome!

damn, and both blueberry and cherry seasons are over here. I guess they'll have to wait until next year.

Hey, what about the rest of you who pick blueberries... what do you do with them?? Post up some recipes! Let's make this the best blueberry thread ever! rofl

I'm thinking that I probably shouldn't mention that I'm picking crab apples tonight...

The wife's Blueberry Jam is as follows:

1 pack of Sure Gel
4 cups of crushed berries
4 cups of sugar

Cook the berries and mix in the pectin. Bring to a rolling boil Stirring constantly. Stir in sugar and return to a full rolling boil for one minute. Remove from heat and ladle into prepared jars and process for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool at room temp. Wait as long as you can stand it and grab a spoon.
That last bit is my addition.

We also put whole berries in pancake batter. I keep a bag at work just to snack on.
