Had a guy selling a bunch of these old milk coolers. He had some 3 feet long, 5 feet long and 6 feet long, for 100, 125, and 150 bucks. I picked up a 5 foot one for 125 bucks, for aging meat. I should be able to fit at least 2 hogs or 2 deer in it at the same time. It should work much better than ice in a ice chest. The are stainless steel and have e drain in the bottom. Going to set the hog trap tomorrow and see if I can try it out.

check with local milk distributor that handles the retail store route like small convenience stores and gas stations - they usually have to provide these size coolers for that market - and they get banged up enough that they can't be used anymore - stores want pretty ...

So, any specifics on how to age without actual spoiling? Specific temp?

Can you stand it upright and hang miss piggy? Laying down on the meat isn't the best way to age...

I should be able to hang it, if not I will build a rack for it to sit on.
