This man is my brother from a different mother. We spent 12 months together in the Nam operating our dozers and other task as they say.

Blue was his given name by us. But to the point of this post. Tomorrow at 10 a.m. he'll be in the O.R. at John Hopkins for an Aortic Aneurysm procedure. I would like to ask all Ants for their good thoughts ; prayers ; smoke
for a good out come . Bob is the last one I'm in constant touch with as 4 of the others out of 13 have passed on.
My bro. helps me keep my sanity in line as I do his. Not many things in life do I want.
But this is a man I truly need on my road at this later stage of passing through. So I'm asking for the colony's combined strength to pull this old dog brother of mine back to full health.

Thanks :
Eagle

Update

Talked to Bob the other night and found out he is having post op. problems.

Doctor went in Artho. instead of laying him open. Now his blood pressure and heart rate are all over the place and his right kidney is shrinking ; dying out I guess. Asked why and he said Doctor sacrificed some arteries for the aneurysm fix. Now I'm from from ever being a doctor but I asked why he didn't open him up if there was a problem ? Doctor sent him a letter stating he sacrificed said arteries .

Wouldn't he know possible side effects of said procedure ? I guess bob could end up loosing kidney or worst ; He doesn't know yet. Right now I'm pretty pissed off thinking something smells to high heaven here. I could be wrong but this doesn't pass the smell test so far.

If anyone knows of something I'm missing let me know.

Uh, John Hopkins, that's not VA right? OK, so I'd get a lawyer looking at it right now (funny me saying that) but I'd be researching the lawyer first. But I'd be doing it ASAP! You're right though this does not sound kosher. SO if I read this correctly he went in through a femoral and destroyed some shit along the way which snowballed into this damage. He signed a "waiver" of a sort, or maybe an agreement to the "procedure" which probably has a CYA clause in it somewhere. Read deeply into the paperwork, deeply. Best I can say without knowing all the facts and seeing the paperwork but I'd definitely get a legal eagle into this thing to review the documents.

Just my "roll-a-quarters" all else fails, use the roll a quarters.

Yes ; Not a V.A. hospital. Told him same thing about having lawyer check it out. Bob has a very close friend who's a retired federal judge and will have him take a look.

What gets me BWRR is I told Bob how the hell do you go up the femoral artery and end up screwing up other blood vessels if your inside the femoral ? I'll let you know when he gives me more information. And John Hopkins is supposed to be world renowned like the Cleveland Clinic. Hopefully it all works out okay for his kidney.

John Hopkins is a Medical school, I hope the hell they didn't have a recent graduate up his skirt working on him. Was this guy making right turns in a NASCAR race? Amateur hour at the OR? I don't have any specifics to go on, just perception and speculation, hey I could be a reporter for a major news network? Keep me posted brother.

This is true. Around here they tell you if trainee will be helping and if not we always ask. From my understanding the doctor said he was doing the work.

Don't know that I'd want you interviewing me. You'd probably get me to incriminate myself for some crime not yet committed.
