Overall looks pretty good. Not too sure about the 'extra' phone though. how common is that down there?

I would probably add a few more minor first aid supplies.

And I would probably replace the GPS with a simple compass.

Team guys are conditioned to comms, time and navigation, watch for the repetition, "common core basics, survival"
As for the compass he already has that in his mind that it is in his day pack or on his person, refer to previous posts.

Unless I was in foreign territory, a GPS wouldn't be in my kit. A spare compass, already in there.

I carry a GPS, if it doesn't work I can ditch it, but if it does I will be glad I have it. Very small, and light. No issues.

Looks mostly what I keep in my GHB. I too prefer compasses. But never had a good GPS either. Regardless, there would always be a compass or 2 as well.
Additions I would make is a water purifier (I like the small sawyer filters) and I like some type of reflective mylar bag/sheet, plus 550 cord.

It's all good stuff...but don't most cell phones already have a GPS in them...except for BWRR's flip phone...not making fun of it, as I just reciently made the switch to a smart phone.

I am going to turn off my smartphone. I need a phone, not a computer. Plus, I never hear my smartphone ring and miss a lot of call. Never missed one on my flip phone.
