1/2 and 3/4 seem silly. they're assuming you are in the room first, to set these up, and then the occupant of the room locks up behind you and doesn't notice the elastics.
5/6, is a neat way to make it look like you weren't there. The old dead person in a locked room scenario.

Well, I have seen 1/2 in a YouTube video. I will try to find it for you. This is feasible if the person leaves the door opened but secured. The guy on the video demonstrate it and it works really well.

interesting... thanks for posting that! I don't have a lot of experience with chains like that, but I have never seen one with enough room to reach in like that. Normally, imho, they open the door about an inch, or just enough to peek through. I think a woman or a small handed person could almost unlatch that one simply by reaching in.
