That during the wake of all these tragedies that we have been having, Harvey, Irma, that..............I haven't heard one peep from one foreign country that said "HEY, WE"RE COMING TO HELP!" Nope, not one peep, maybe I'm not paying attention or they aren't reporting it. But I haven't heard shit from all the countries that our military has came in and helped them every time GOD has smacked his wrath on these places. Even when they don't ask when we deploy and visit these countries (even on liberty) we always provide aid and assistance.

Is it just me?

It is interesting isn't it? I would be willing to guess that there have been a few offers of small amounts of assistance that have come from a few places but it is not reported. Please notice that the operative adjective in the previous sentence is small.

Yeah, but their help is the kind that sets up permanent residence.

St. Martin (Sint Maarten/Saint Martin) is an island that is claimed by Holland and France (about half and half). The difference driving from the Dutch side to the French side is quite startling.....the road conditions go straight to hell on the French side, the housing goes from Caribbean casual to third world slum, the power on the French side is shitty on the best days..

I used to have a timeshare at Oyster Bay (reporting significant damage), which was literally right on the border. The best Pizza place on the island was just across on the French side....Actually being able to get the pizza cooked all the way was chancy, because the power would go out there. Driving on the french side in the rain could get you killed, my wife and I were almost swept away on the main road....because of no drainage.

Thats Mamas Pizza, on a very good day...

So, the french side got a thorough wash....about time.
