A shooter killed 50+, and injured over 400 at shooting in Las Vegas. This was a well planed lone shooter attack. Shooter was found dead on the 32nd floor of a Vegas casino. 8 guns , 2 shooting platforms and video cameras to see the arrival of first responders were involved. The anti gun crowd will have a field day with this one. Watching video from the event, sounds like an automatic weapon was involved. They will of course call for tighter gun control, and weapons bans. Sad that so many innocents were killed and injured in a senseless case of violence. Prayers for all the families of those involved in this shooting.

I think "Country" had less to do with it, then the numbers of targets available. There has been little said about motive, since little is known about the shooter, and nothing about how long and where this event was promoted. The attack happened on the last day of the event during the performance of the last act. Jason Aldean has a large following, and this mutt waited until then to launch his attack. He intended and achieved maximum carnage. Had it not been for the quick response, (15 minutes by most accounts) the body and casualty numbers would have been much higher.

Good to know you are OK. I don't think it sounds cold...I've been predicting this kind of thing for years. Low cost, no major investment like in 911 attacks. One person can take out many victims with one gun and plenty of ammo. I'm not saying this is ISIS related, but I'm not surprised they haven't done this themselves. Hide two assholes in a New York taxi, and they could kill hundreds driving around before getting caught. It would seem this is the new future we are facing. Taking away all the guns won't help, because a gun will always be available to someone who really wants to get one...just a little harder.
The internet is full with the left reporting the shooter was a typical mass shooter, being a white man, and the crowd was "typical country music republican supporters". And so it starts again.

It didn't take the demoncrats long to start in on gun control. Shrillary and Pocahontas tweeted before the venue was even cleared of bodies. Then you have the truly deranged tweets by some media and others saying they weren't sorry this happened to country and western fans , as they were most likely republicans and voted for Trump. We have some very troubled individuals on the left living in our country. It is one thing to dislike a presidents policy, it is another to hate so vehemently a president and anyone who may have voted for them. The left and there progressive movement have done to the country, the same thing a Bavarian painter did to the German people before WW2. We are in some deep Kim-chi , and need to deal with the issue before things get further out of hand.

But then there's ......LadyHK was insistent on me listening to the recorded "gunfire" saying it was full auto. (had to wait till we got home, about 1830)When I first heard it in the morning I said it sounded like a binary trigger or bump fire but was leaning with the binary because of how fast it was. And that I would have to hear it again, well she heard it more times than I did and she said it was full auto, So that's how my day went all the way to the VA and all the way back........I still like my binary trigger theory after hearing it again. But the real answers will come out later when and if they give a list of his inventory. Either way the SOB's dead, no tax payer money will be wasted on courts and injustice.

Don't forget to take time to think about the dead and wounded. These were innocents, these were Americans.

So many of the KIA in Vegas came from SoCal. I think it was 19 were from the LA area alone. Every time I have been in a group of people someone either has a family member or is friends with some who was wounded or killed. One close friend's daughter was at the concert and she had not contacted home for over 12 hours. Her phone got lost at the concert. I suppose the kid had never heard of borrowing a phone or a pay phone?

Of course all the various conspiracy theories are making the rounds now. That POS had certainly planned his attack.

Just talked to my SIL in Vegas, family is all okay. However, SIL told me the woman and her daughter that had been saved by the gentleman that covered them with his body is my nephew's fiancee's Aunt and Cousin. Aunt caught shrapnel in her face from the bullets but is doing well after surgery and her cousin was not hurt physically, emotions obviously are all over the place right now. The gentleman's son was on the local news and the "Today" ? show talking about his dad and what he did. One of my nieces in AK has customers that had family there at the time. Their members are still in LV being interviewed by the LEO's . I caught a snippet of a news item that the jerk tried to shoot out gas storage tanks to blow them up but haven't seen anything else yet. This man shot up a venue of probably 70 to 90% conservatives like fish in a barrel . I knew then my mouth and actions would get my ass in trouble. Was offered next E-6 stripe to stay in but knew it wouldn't be worth the bullshit.

Yes, the time line is screwed, yes there was a second hotel employee who arrived, and the perps house was broken into. I still maintain the perps gf knows much more than she has told anyone. The time line issue is a big one, as it will establish liability for all the law suits that will be coming out over this incident. MGM resorts, the LVPD and the concert promoter's are already named in at least one lawsuit. There are interesting questions and problems with two of the three times lines I've heard. Two of them make little sense. Have not figured out why no one was guarding the house that was broken into, unless of course it had been thoroughly searched and processed. Even at that, it hasn't been that long since the event, that it would be deemed no longer a location of interest and released to anyone. FBI and the local PD should still be watching it until then.
