Picked one up this week, been playing with it. Range is supposed to be over 4 miles, but I have only been brave enough to go about a half mile so far. Now when I want to look around my property I can do it easily.

Cool. Do you have a link for the drone?

Have had one for a while. They are fun. Very worthwhile to have when out in the boonies. Have fun with it and be cautious if you are in a flight path.

Yeah, I am probably 80 miles from a controlled airport. Very rarely do I hear any aircraft. We used to fly our R/c planes at the local airport until recently. Only had a few planes a week land there.

As you can see from the pic, there is nothing around me. Looks that way in every direction.

Thanks for the link Helo. I've got a buddy that got one a couple years ago. His drone looks very similar to his. I'll have to check with him and see what his is. He is thrilled with it. Had it out here one night. I was amazed at the coverage it had and camera resolution. Yours looks to have similar capabilities.
I live 6 miles from a decent size airport. It even has a ANG base, they fly KC-135 tankers and some days they do touch and goes with us in the flight plan.

The drone app itself can tell you if youre in an active area but its not as in depth. I usually buzz mine around in the mountains and only have to be cautious if search and rescue are buzzing around.

I'll have to pick up one of those apps if I get a drone.

Walmart raised the price back up 150 bucks. Original price was 999, then they lowered it to 750, I almost bought it then. When I bought mine, they lowered the price to 599 bucks, so I bought it. Now the price is back up to 750. Someone must have messed up. .

Good for you catching it when it was cheaper. My luck rarely runs that way.
