Any comment about various 550 paracords or other useful cordage?

What do you need to know? It's good for tying things in place but too thin to grip properly without adding some pegs to grab.

The strands inside the sheath are useful too.

I carry more 110 than 550 but I also keep some nylon webbing with me.

I was curious about standards as far as number of core threads tensile strength... and whether there were preferable manufacturers...

I"d also heard about paracords that had wire in them as well...

I don't know any specs, but we use paracord at work often.

Core thread count and strength depends on the manufacturer but it would be a fairly easy thing to test.

I've never heard of any cord with wire in it however some speciality places are now putting some interesting things in the core like a fire starter cord for tinder, braided fishing line. I'll see if I can find a link for it.
