Ladies and Gentlemen,

I know I have been gone for a long time and I am sorry I left you all alone here. Life just throw stuff at you and you just have to deal with it the best you can.

3 years ago, we to a contract with hostgator to host this forum and keep it running. This contract is arriving to an end on January 24, 2022 and I would like to know what you guys would like to do with this site.

To continue this contract would be $250 for another 3 years. However, we could pay a lot less than that if we started another contract, like just around $100. For the second option, I just need to reconfigure everything, but it is no bother to me.

That being said, there is a third option. I honestly don't know if anybody still comes around and this site needs to stay up.

This is the question that I am asking today? What do you want to do?

Please let me know?


Also, I received a mail not long ago where HostGator told me that they may discontinue the use of the PHP version that make this forum run in a near future. This needs to be taken in account. There may be a need to change the script as well.

Well Stig, you didn't say which option was what, but I am for keeping the site around. I could make multiple excuses for not being "proactive" on the site but it doesn't matter. Yet still I am willing to contribute funds as well. I'm sure some folks might have gone their separate ways, but I just work and drop off to sleep you might say. I am NOT into social media. But this is the only site I ever visit. Other than email and trying save this stupid county now. I am still all in for the site.

I'm willing to chip in some funds as well. There isn't a lot of traffic like in the early day's. But the folks that are still here are a pretty tight bunch.
That said I'll go along with the crowd's choice.

Well,I picked a fine day come back! While I never was a major contributor,, I always liked to lurk and see what was new.
My life has changed considerably since I first signed up.
I was a member of whenshtf.com before I came here. I was really getting tired of the daily soap opera over there and said so. As luck would have it, a member named AK47forU (something like that) invited me over here. I don't remember if I thanked him properly back then so, dude who ever you are/were, Thank you.
OK, so my problems, misfortunes, excuses Yada Yada etc , no real reason I do not contribute more. Lord knows I got more out of this place than I gave back. I wou.d sure hate to see us go under.
I'm getting too old to start over.
I am willing to contribute to a (reasonable) membership fee to keep the lights on,

RedJohn, my vote would be to continue with this site. If the same properties are provided for less of a cost I would say go with less expensive. Your time is money so that needs to be considered.

I will support whatever decision you make RedJohn.
