I think I'll use a few of these: LightStorm CL-1 Rechargeable Crank Flashlight (http://www.brightguy.com/products/LightStorm_CL-1_Rechargeable_Crank_Flashlight.php)

I have 8 similiar, but I like the Lightstorm because of the capaciters instead of internal batteries.

Just my opinion.

I agree Jerry, especially since these things would only work during daylight hours. But for something like that bunker in the other thread, a set up similar to this could provide some easy lighting, and even be done quite inexpensively. Having one of these in place every 20 feet or so down the length of those long tunnels would provide enough light to move around comfortably. with a retractable cover set up, the corridor (or your end of it) could be darkened while allowing the other end to be light to see anyone coming in.

I don't know what the longevity of pop bottles in this situation would be, but to replace them with a solid acrylic rod would probably last a lifetime....
