correct me if I'm wrong... but that seems like a huge amount of weight to be carrying both on your back and in a cooler.... and if I recall, you are uphill and quite a ways from town too, no?

you must be in pretty amazing shape to be able to do that!

I think I'll stick with my truck for now.

The pack design helps with the wieght and it good for me as my doctor says i have droped about 20 pds during the first couple of weeks doing it.

The biggest problem was finding the right pack for the trip with the proper waistbelt and shoulder strap design to help with the wieght of the supplies .The cooler unit has a web handle to help with carrying it and i try to change hands as it need with a walking stick to help balance me out when walking the back way into town and back out to the cabin

How about switching to two smaller coolers? One in each hand to balance the weight.

When I backpacked across greece, I wore two packs, one on the front and one on the back. While all of my friends were hunched over and/or straining under the weight of theirs, I could walk comfortably, standing straight. And with 2, I was carrying more than they were.
