So, I deployed without packing my sewing kit........

This was rather embarrassing, as I was forced to go to the Hadjimart to have a local sew on a button of mine. At home, I have a small plastic container with 50 needles, as well as a small sewing kit in a box. This post was to shine light on the fact to never overlook small things. A spool of thread in your sustainment stash, as well as a mini sewing kit in your BOB will ensure you always can fix that rip, fix MOLLE gear that was made in China, or even use for stitches! Dont forget a metal thimble! Other things to think about having at home is a snap button press with extra buttons, zippers (a dollar or so at the walmart), scissors, misc. buttons, a length of Velcro, and a magnifying glass for you old farts or people like me who cannot see without glasses. These items onhand will make life easier, and the women happier.

My $.02 donation to whoever this helped
