    Honeybees

Mods, I started to put this under the food threads, please move it if you feel it's needed.

I'm guessing a lot of you have heard about the mass die offs of honeybees in the last several years. I ran across this article and figured I would share.

a good buddy of mine makes some quality mead from honey, and is thinking about keeping some bees. He's been watching this for a few years now, it isn't new, but it is serious!! let's let big farmers keep pounding the chemicals onto their fields!!!

Maybe this should go over to the Animals section since this is a living being that would be raised for some sort of human consumption (honey)? The operative "word" being raised since we may have some bee keepers posting?
    I apologize for nothing...

I have noticed several times this spring that solitary bees would crash land in front of me, stagger and die. I can certainly see chemicals having a big role in this! Cargill, ADM and Monsanto are minions of Satan!!

The bees are thick at my place. Can't even put a drink down without them landing in it.

Leave a coke outside at my house and the bees will have it completely covered in minutes.

I'll have to set out some sugar water to see what it really looks like around here.

Now that everything is in bloom, the bees are everywhere around here. I have been taking pics of the different kinds That I have not seen before too. Not to mention the flies are worse. This is going to be a bad bug season this summer.
