Did a bit of work on the pond this weekend, hauled in another 5 tons of rocks:

Notice the height of the hitch ball on my wife's leg. here, the truck is empty:

    Full load:

The Black section is liner, that needs to be covered with rocks:

Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day!
Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

    Cat's are food... not friends!

If you're going to fight, then fight like you're the third monkey on the ramp into Noah's arc... and brother, it's starting to rain.

    Tucking into place:

    And repeat:

Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day!
Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

    Cat's are food... not friends!

    It was a warm weekend:

    Getting closer:

Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day!
Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

    Cat's are food... not friends!

    lol. yep.

160 loads so far, over the last 4 years. With the exception of 7 large ones I used equipment on; every other rock, and sand, has come in in the back of my toyota(s). Hand selected, hand loaded, hand unloaded and hand placed.

With the 'improvements' done to the truck, I haul about 2000 pounds (1 ton) per trip. (I've scaled up to 2500+, but try to keep the weight down to around 2000. That also keeps the front tires on the ground)

I figure another 5 tons ought to do it. Then I'll have some free time to start working on my big pond project

Nothing like a little project to keep you busy on your weekends........... What are the dimensions going to be when you are done? Have you decided what fish you are going to be putting in the pond? er lake.

dimensions at waterline are 100' x 70' (ish) with a max depth of 18'

I have 200 Rainbow trout in there currently. I put them in as fingerlings this spring, and they are currently between 6-8"

Another month, and it'll be time to start hooking them for the fry-pan/freezer
