It is, of course, obvious that speed, or height of fall, is not in itself injurious ... but a high rate of change of velocity, such as occurs after a 10 story fall onto concrete, is another matter.

Last night at 6:00 pm was the most lightning that I've witnessed in the six year that I've lived in Florida. There was a strike every 1/2 of a second. I just happened to be out side and it was something I will never forget. Or I should say...I won't forget until I get Alzheimer's.

All is well today. The storm broke up before it hit us and thank you all for your concerns and wishes. It's our rainy season down here along with hurricane season so we've been getting our typical daily afternoon storms from evaporation that builds from the days heat that roll in like clockwork. Some are worse than others.
