Picked up three more cans of Ham (had coupon at Dollar General) to add to storage with best use by date of May 2019. Still have the DAK canned ham with about two years left on date stamp.

We sorted through our kitchen pantry today and I noticed two cans of Spam were swelled up. Since we bought a small case back in 2012 the Best Use by date is March 2015. We split the case into two locations in the house. Some cans went to our regular everyday pantry and the rest went to our medium term storage closet. The cans that are in the dark closet look great, but as I stated the cans in the kitchen pantry are swelled up like they are about to explode. So those two got tossed. The point here is that it really makes a difference where you store food. When they say cool, dark, dry place is best, it makes all the difference in the world.

Potted 36 more tomato plants, planted 23 tomatoes, and 10 more peppers. I've now got 23 pepper plants planted, and more to plant tomorrow. The bad news is, I've got about 70 more plants to get in the ground, and probably have room for about 30 more currently, so several more raised beds are afoot for tomorrow.
Common sense is so rare these days, it should be re-classified as a super power.

    The carnage continues...

Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day!
Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

it's tough to see progress, given the area, but here's a few more...

    firewood piling up...

    and the brushpiles...

starting to see the light from end to end...

Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day!

Added four 4X4 inch non stick pads to the first aid kit. Not much, but every baby step helps.

I'll try for some photos tomorrow, but it already looks like a family of bunnies have moved in under the first one. I'll be watching it closely, and setting some snares as they grow up.

Spent today prepping my existing gardens (about 1/2), and made up another 7 global buckets.

I planted abbage, auliflour, peppers, and some tomatos this week. Got a bunch more tomatos and peppers to go and gonna put in another row of Yukon gold taters. Than I gotta get okra, melons, squash voing.
Seems Ike I've been behind since thanksgiving and can't make any headway.
