Found 14 very mature mater plants that I didn't already have to replace a few of the plants failing to thrive, bought 9 new pepper plants, I didn't start any bells this year, so I got some nice ones I'll be planting tonight. Also built 5 more global buckets and planted them with some of the new maters. I've noticed some of my global buckets don't seem to be wicking water very well, so this round of buckets (5) I cut an old towel into strips and it's in the perforated solo cup at the bottom of the inner bucket, it coils up thru the soil and ends near the root ball of the mater. Hopefully this is going to create a better capillary action to bring the water up from the reservoir.
