Getting ready to close on 243 acres of wooded bliss in the middle of nowhere! Need to create pasture, ponds, basements for a main house and a small house and fencing....OH MY is RIGHT!!!! Oh yeah, did I say we want to do all of this totally off grid with hydropower and solar????
Met the neighbor today and thank God he does ponds and has an engineering background so he should be a good source of info and help. Good thing we know this is going to be a long term project!
Sweet deal for you and hubby. Be sure to check out your neighbors other work he has done. You have your hands full going totally off grid. I personally would push it as fast I could considering our current political state. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavor. Hell I'd bulldoze for free just because that was my first love for equipment . ( POWER)
As a side note; I have a 77 yr. old uncle in very good health who wants me to help find him some land near people like us. Guiding him towards Tennessee. He has no debt and pays cash only or doesn't buy. Waiting right now to hear back from him thru snail mail. Please post some pictures if it doesn't affect ospec. I promise not to cry with envy too much. Would love to see your project progress.
I picked up 12 Motorla Saber 2 radios for the group to use. They are encryption capable, and should extend our mobile to mobile operating range much farther out than FRS type radios. I think I'm set on coms now.
