The sets are not bad. You just have to make sure to buy the cable, the disk, and a aftermarket antenna. It was a pain to get the computer to recognize the drivers and the unit itself but once I figured out the program, the actual programming of local freqs is very easy.

You don't want to try programming them without the software. My buddy said that just sucks.

He's right about that. The program allows you to type the channels easily in to a glorified spreadsheet.

    I picked up 2 books:

All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew

    and

Mini Farming: self sufficiency on 1/4 acre. By Brett Markham

    both are worthwhile books

Just recieved 11 fruit trees, 9 apple and 2 pear, and have them prepped for a final planting in the fall after our BOL is logged in May.
Too many ponderosa pines in the way for productive trees right now.

Took an advance handgun class at ITTS with my son and nephew. It was good to get out together. It was even better to be shooting.

Picked up the new BOV. Got a great deal from a local club member on a 2002 Grand Cherokee Overland. Lots of storage, seating & towing capacity and with a 4" long arm suspension & 4.56 gears, it'll go about anywhere. I thought the mileage on the HO 4.7l would be horrible but I averaged 22 highway on a recent road trip & have been getting 15 around town.

Haven't done much of anything the last couple weeks. I did get the chicken coop cleaned out today and got 2 good compost piles started.
