I am still working on getting in the wood stove. I took it all apart. Sanded and painted it. After putting additional joint sealant on all the cast iron joints. Put in a granite hearth stone with 3+ inches of poured concrete under.

Today I am going to bring it in from my enclose porch-makeshift workshop ... and get the legs back on, and the back flue pieces ... and put it in place. I still have to put all the new gaskets in ... I so need to find my camera, it sucks that I have not one picture of the work on the stove. Camera where are you?!

Ugh, crazy PMS headache doesn't help when having to do work

Sounds like you need something like this:

whenever you're done with your camera... hang it up. If it is always in the same place, you know where to put it and to find it!

    now where are my sunglasses...

    Oh yeah...

    There they are!

And I can't wait to see this woodstove with a stone hearth and a 3" concrete slab???

Sniper, where'd you get my hanger at?
We took a trip around Lake Supeirior back in 05 and the wife found one of those. I love it.

Amongst other things, I've been a metal worker for over 25 years. This is a photobucket image, of a variation, of a wall plaque that I designed in the early 90's.
The original was on an oval 'plaque' that had the family name underneath. ie... "The Sniper-T's" Given the availability and affordability of plasma tables since then... any picture can be coded and cut from steel. What we used to charge 2-300 bucks for, can now be scanned and mass produced for less than $10 ea. This is a case where the market has destroyed the industry. This is no different than Cabelas or Bass selling those deer or moose profile fire rings. We used to make them from 1/4" thick steel, and they'd last forever... these places pump them out out of 18 Ga and they last for a year... but they are $10 cheaper than we used to sell them for. go figure!

Wow, fantastic about the mushrooms ... see that is where I hope to be a year from now. House finished, back to work ... and working on projects like that in the evenings and on weekends!

I found my camera! I have no idea how it ended up in my undie drawer

Thanks... although I am envious about your position... I wish I could afford to take a year off and just work around the house/property

Sounds intriguing... are there more pics around than on image shack? lol
Most likely it was something completely innocent... personally, I blame the cat:

Did you put anything in with the mushrooms, like O2 absorber? How long do you think they will store?
They say that the cockroaches will be the last creature alive on this earth.
I intend on being the last person alive still stomping cockroaches.
