Got some trigger time in today, and so did my 6 year old. He shot a handgun for the first time, which was super fun for him, and like defusing nuclear warheads for me. Lol. A relative by marriage is a competitive shooter, and I got to run his glock 34 for a while. RMR cut slide, lightened slide, trigger work, match barrel, extended mags, really nice stipple job, etc.
Common sense is so rare these days, it should be re-classified as a super power.

10 more pepper plants this week, 7 more mater plants, planted some more mixed greens (mesculin) and added 8 large 14x14x14" pots to the planting space for peppers and herbs. Also planted a German thyme next to my existing one (it was a gift, so why not expand my supply?) and a purple basil. This week I need to cut back my Russian tarragon, dry some, and transplant some. It's tasty, and it grows 24/7 365, it might be my most indestructible plant. I dug a sucker from the big blackberry that found its way into a raised bed 2 weeks ago, and it's doing well, so woohoo free blackberry plant. That makes 8 total now. Tomorrow I have to bird net my strawberries. The mockingbirds are doing a number on them regardless of the constant yard cat patrol.

I got my Glock 19 out of layaway and have gotten a couple hundred rounds through it so far. I'm really glad I went with 9mm. Ammo is cheaper and I seem to shoot it a little better than my .40. Got up early this morning, and got some squash, okra, tomatoes and peppers in the ground.

Finally getting my concealed weapons permit. Had one years ago in Louisiana, but have not got one since I moved to Texas years ago. Not a perfect target, but not to bad either. We shoot from 3, 7 and 15 yards. Not the best shooting, but not bad either. Only one person beat me, and if I had not thrown that one shot, I would have tied him. Score was 248, still not exactly sure how it is scored.

I intend on being the last person alive still stomping cockroaches.

Completed a raised garden bed constructed from cinder blocks and went to an awesome range. Was able to do more than just stand and shoot. Amazing.
The tallest oak in the forest was once just a nut who held its ground.

Because we use the P229R DAK in 40 caliber. Not saying they don't have good pistols, just that particular one is the only Sig I have shot besides the mosquito so I am kind of jaded.
