I wonder if hot gluing a velcro tab on the pack, like what a lot of the sleeping bags have now, would help.
I've found when riding horseback that that zippers will open on a pack if they are zipped up to the top of the pack. However, if both zippers are zipped to the bottom it will stay closed. Learned that the hard way.
