    Question for the staff

I pose this question to the staff of this fine establishment

I know we have a sub forum under food and water for "All things animal" or something to that effect Since there are quite a few folks on here who garden and/or farm to some degree, would it be possible to have a sub-forum for that as well? Maybe some along the lines of "Crops" or "Food, Feed, & seed".

It seems to me that their have been several threads on gardening, seed saving, and raising crops. To me it makes sense to have these topics seperated from long term food storage, how to purify and store water, and so forth.

No big deal if it isn't done, but I thought the question worthy to be asked. Thanks for the consideration.

I agree... It really would be nice to have a Growing/harvesting/seed saving/gardening/pest control/Canning for vegetables that end up on the table to have a topic of it's own. Another suggestion for a topic name is "From Soil to Harvest & Seed".

    "From Seed to Shelf"?

Thanks for the suggestion. Sorry I didn't respond sooner...was out of town on a business trip.

We'll kick this around in the staff lounge. We always try to think through adding new sub-forums to avoid sub-dividing so far that we end up with a cluttered mess.

In general it sound like a great idea and there is certainly a lot of activity in the food forum so I don't worry about a sub-forum dying on the vine.

If we were to create a sub-forum what should we name it (if something different than gardening & farming)?

How about "A little dirt won't hurt"
Be ready now, you won't have that chance later.

    "Homestead Propagation",

    "Growing an Ant's Homestead",

    "Harvesting Ant's" (Pun intended LOL)

"From Soil to Harvest to Seed"
