It is, of course, obvious that speed, or height of fall, is not in itself injurious ... but a high rate of change of velocity, such as occurs after a 10 story fall onto concrete, is another matter.

Guess that answers the question as to what she'll be using when the toilet paper runs out.

It's getting to the point that I need to replace my Casio type S that I've had for 5 years because the inside screen is scratched up where my thumbnail hit it when flipping it open and it hard to see the screen.
I've been reading allot of the reviews on rugged phones. The newer Casio Ravine2 that came out last Nov seems to be liked.
Does any of you have one or know someone that does?

Well I just ordered the Ravine II from Bestbuy and it should be here in 5-7 days. It was on sale for $49.00 with a 2 year extension and the same phone at Verizon was $149.00 and they don't price match. Go figure...
I'll let you all know if I like it or not.

Here is my phone that I use. I am constantly fumbling it around...

As far as the phone goes I have had no issues with it. Direct connect, I dont have enabled on this phone since I never did like it when I had to use it for a job. I simply punch numbers or speak them when I am driving to dial. It's just a phone fer me.
Damn I must be an old fart
Had an interesting experience with it this weekend. As I mentioned in another thread, it was crazy hot here, and at one point I took my phone off plopped it on the deck with my pocket contents and went for a swim to cool off...
When I got back to the phone, it was off (odd) and wouldn't turn back on (odder). what surprised me was that it was so hot, I couldn't actually hold it. I took it inside and left it on the counter, and then forgot about it for a couple hours. When I checked it later, I had to turn it back on, and when I did, the message that came up was:
" Cooling off period. Emergency calls only"
It took another hour before it was back to normal, and everything is fine with it. I guess the deck got hot enough to fry eggs... and phones! lol
