You would have to go to japan for that.
I don't doubt it. Gotta read the ingredient labels. Just makes me wonder what spurred that research, crap = food???
That's nasty. I thought he was kidding. Should I take it I really don't want to google this and learn more?
I'll stick with woodland rodents thanks.

Yeah, let's come back to real surviving. There are countries, like China, where rats are a appreciated. The western cultures frown upon this, but after all this is meat and not poisonous. This is survival after all.
In the western countries, we don't eat pets. However, we don't have the same pet list. Asians eat dogs, other like me eat rabbit (for having tasted it, cat does not taste like chicken, but looks, smells, and taste like rabbit)
Insects are studied by western culture now, as a good source for protein.
I can't speak for any other Asian countries, but I know in Korea its all about the breed of dog too. They have breeds they keep as pets, and a specific, large breed they raise (on the equivalent of a cattle farm) for food. I got a taste of it (not for it, I only had a bite) while in Seoul on a day trip. I'll admit though, if I ever took a pleasure trip over there I'd eat it again.
I wouldn't condone trying it CONUS either. Its my understanding there's a felony attached to killing cats and dogs here.
