    Hello,

I have a bug out bag from about 20 years ago. Its in pretty good condition overall except for this shoulder strap.

Any suggestions of how to repair this puppy?

is it plastic, leather? if it's plastic, try some Kydex. i have a guy down here that does really good work. just have a replacement piece made. i wouldn't think it would be more the $10-20 to have it done. if you want, i can forward the picture to him and see what he would charge?

Do you have a pop rivet gun?... If so... cut a piece of aluminum to size for a stiffener, drill holes threw the plate/plastic/nylon insert a long enough rivets to go threw all plus a small washer on the inside of the of the pack. You will probable need a 3/8-1/2 rivets to make it.
