    I need a new map

I want a more current map of the railway system.

I need Virginia and surrounding states.

One that has road crossing numbers.

    All bridges must be labeled.

It would be nice to have all spurs....active and inactive....but not necessary.

The one I have is current...in 1968. The main routes are the same....the crossings are different....and the weird thing.....no compass rose.

    Any ideas?

I've searched....and can find many decor type maps....and a few specific route maps.

My contact at the RR has retired....

    simply, an amazing book!

Echo let me do some digging. I don't recall how current it is but at one time I had a link to the rr system. I'll make an effort to locate it.

    I have this...

But doesn't have the info I want.

I'd love to have the power lines marked too....but DHS may have issue with that.

Let me check with sis in VA. Her significant other may have an idea where to get a map for you

Will check with a buddy of mine who is an engineer with the railroad up here, may get lucky.

If you know which rail company is in the geographic are you are interested in, suck as CSX or NS, go to their website and search for a system map. You can also search for historic routes on now defunct line. Ther are also old Confederate Railroad maps available online which may help.
