Whitetail Deer Weight Chart
Use the chart below to accurately determine the weight of your whitetail deer using the "heart girth measurement method". All you need to have is a piece of rope and a tape measure. Wrap the rope tightly around the deer's chest, just behind the front legs, then measure the rope to determine it's girth in inches.
HEART GIRTH- The distance around the chest just behind the front legs.(in inches)
LIVE WEIGHT- The weight of the deer before bleeding.(in pounds)
DRESSED WEIGHT- The weight of the deer after the entrails have been removed.(in pounds)
EDIBLE LEAN MEAT- The boneless, edible venison after butchering.(in pounds)
