Show your compasses....What do you have?

What do you have in you drawer...

I know there are a couple more around here somewhere....and I have a Suunto Core coming tomorrow.

I also have one of the best books for the basics....and a couple tools...

The new map books are ordered and ready for marking up and laminating specific pages.

I have several various types. I'll have to pull them out and get a pic or two.

Great thread. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone uses.

    Its fine to have one,
Its fine to be proud of it,
But please dont whip it out in public and start waving it around,
And PLEASE dont try to force it down my children's throats.

What Stormfeather said. Learned to use the standard military compass and learned it well, haven't seen any need to change. I've got a few emergency kit compasses that come with assorted items, but don't worry much about them. I've got a Marbles pin-on compass thta I used to attach to the clothes when out playing in high-danger areas but it sits at home pinned to the ALICE pack most of the time now.

I have one of these, Gives me a better arial view. Oh and a Cammenga MOD 3H, born date 05-09-09. You have to watch those dates when buying a used Tritium compass, they only have a life span of about 10 years as I recall. Other than that I have some el'cheapo's on every pack for quick refs. As the budget allows and as the eye catches the deal! Good things will come.......
