Daks Canned Hams at Wally World

Wally World has Daks canned hams for $3.82. 1 lb canned ham very good for LTS. While this is 2X what they were before Y2K that's par for the course nowadays. I have eaten them as old as 10 years and they were still good. No refrigeration required until after opening. I got a few along with some new socks. Such is my exciting life. Then I celebated by finishing building a paddock for the ponies and running 160' of three strand 4 point gaucho wire.

It's in the canned meat section of the grocery. Or you can order online.

    Here's a link with a picture.

Last time I got ham in a can (Dak), I wasnt too impressed. Maybe it was the way I cooked it.

Do you have a cooking suggestion for it?

Im still hoping my LWM (Local WalMart) will start to carry ground beef in a can... sigh...

What Helo said! Daks is for LTS kinda like spam only it tastes betterI tend to fry mine for breakfast, but I have baked it in a dutch oven with a honey and cherry wine glaze.I believe my recipe for canned burger calls for a 90 minute pressure cook time. I'd have to look it up to be sure. Justa Prepper has a sticky up top on how she cans meat.

Ok, just got back from Wally World, picked up 10 cans of the DAK ham, didnt know much about it, so figure it will go into the rotation and will see where it goes from there.

I ate lots of Dak when I was younger. Aldi has a decent canned ham too. Dak was a staple of my Boy Scout troop on camp outs, as was underwoods deviled ham.
