    Impulse sealer came today!

Is Ive been wanting one since the day of of getting started with mylar bags.. but could not find any really reliable information on using one with mylar bags.

So I took the plunge and scored a 16" 800w impulse sealer that does a 5mm wide/tall seal.

I just took a gallon bag, filled it 7/8 full with tap water, gave it *ONE* seal... Took it outside and stood on it... with both feet, my 230lb fat ass didnt bust the seal! So I kinda did a baby hop on it, figured it would bust for sure... nope. The bag is now sitting on my kitchen table awaiting further orders, and not a drop of water nor one pinhole leak.

Ill do a more in depth review after Ive given it more time, and a video of course...

    HTH someone...

Where did you purchase it from, and how many $$?

    technopack on ebay:

    http://myworld.ebay.com/technopackco...p2047675.l2559

    $90

Worth it to get a perfect seal, every time.... No wondering if the seal is good or not.

You could go with a shorter sealer, which would be cheaper of course, but I wanted one I can seal a one gallon bag long ways also. Ive settled on only using one gallon bags for numerous reasons.
