He's old and grumpy, but not fat. He'll be right back...he has to go tell some kids to get off his lawn

    Happy Birthday USA

Today we celebrate the birth of the United States. There will be parades and fireworks across the country in honor of the that day. Unfortunately to many it is just a holiday, a day off from work. Take the time today to actually sit down with friends and relatives and read the document that started the United States, the Declaration of Independence. Explain the sacrifices the founders and those who have come after have made to keep that great dream alive. Renew in yourselves and your family that spirit that drove the original colonists to petition and the fight the strongest nation on earth at the timein order to win the freedoms we so cherish today.

Excellent post! The only thing I would like to add is this: Also remember the families of those who have served, who are currently deployed, and especially the families of the fallen.

To all those who have served, my family and I are grateful

Soggy and rainy around here. Everything seems rather subdued.

I do have to second M4orgery. A huge thanks to all who serve.
