We are not using the big one with a gauge only one with the pressure relief. We cook the chicken and thick pork chops 18 minutes if frozen or 14 to 16 if thawed. It is simple.

So if it is predictable and preventable then you better prepare.

My wife is a deadly chef when it comes to the pressure cooker. Her turkey and stew delicacies will not allow you to pause in consumption, you will eat until you explode. Well that goes for everything that she plies her skill at. She does a mean Strawberry Shortcake (all home made) wow!

AlphaTea: I have to admit I'm not real proficient with a pressure cooker. The only real thing I use it for is boiled peanuts.
Mainly because they take for ever in a regular pan on the stove.

{doubletake} I am a great fan of the late Jerry Clower, the comedian... one of the things he mentioned in his routines was a social event called a "peanut boilin' ". Is the purpose of such to get the shells off all at once, or already shelled peanuts being boiled up?

I have placed the request in to her. Her reply is "I dont have any written down, I just throw in what sounds good at the time." "And I have notated it and will write some up."

On a side note I cant ask her to release the strawberry short cake recipe since it is from my mother. And it is a secret authentic valid old school German recipe. And if it ever goes public my mother is sure to go Commando and that my friends will be... well lets just say I cant do that.

My wife is emailing me at this moment..

This recipe is similar to one we use. We don’t typically brown the beef or precook the onion. I leave out the mushrooms since I don’t like them. We put it all in the pressure cooker and bring up to pressure. Cook 20 minutes. Turn heat off; when the pressure has dropped remove the lid. For Beef Stroganoff, stir the cornstarch in with 1 cup of sour cream; then add to the pot. Gentle simmer until the sour cream is incorporated and it has thickened.

And when I inquired if more will be provided at a later date, the reply was

    "Maybe.."
