    6 point and 10 point

My nephew killed a good mature buck yesterday. Should have been a good sized 8 point but his horns were broken all to pieces. His front hooves were cracked. He had been doing some serious fighting with a giant buck from the looks of him.

My older brother came down to hunt with me this morning. He killed a nice 10 point with forked eye guards. Put some meat in his freezer. All in all it has been a good opening weekend of modern gun season.

He made a bad shot on him and ruptured his guts so I made him put him on the hood instead of in the back of my jeep.

    6 point and 10 point

Well add to the list. My wife took an 8 point about 7 this morning. Took him about 500 yards from where the 10 point was taken last weekend.

Well I filled my last deer tag today. I am done for the year. Filled it on one of the most unique racked deer I have ever killed. Had a good normal rack on one side and a foot long spike on the other.

Big older deer. Probably weighed 125 lbs without his guts. That's a large deer for here.

Nice size deer Possum! I've never seen a spike that long before. Very different.

We were in our kitchen yesterday and just happened to be looking out back on our property and saw a nice buck back next to the tree line. Put some glass on it and counted at least 8 points. Nice full body to. Too bad there is a house about 200 yards past it. That was the first buck I've seen on our place in 4 years. We always have fawns around so i knew we had one here.

The good bucks always seem to know how to stay out of sight. They don't get big by being dumb. Doe and fawns wander around constantly without a care in the world, bucks over 2 year old walk around watching everything and expecting everything to try to kill them. I bet there are several bucks on your place they just don't come out in the open of the day. They are very smart creatures.

This one today fell for my grunt call thinking I was another mature buck in his territory. Came in looking for a fight and got more then he bargained for.
